How many people are working on Evolutis?
We’re a team of 5-8 people working on the game.
On your Twitter, we can see some of the direct influences on Evolutis. Have you been anime and cyberpunk fans for a long time? Tell us a bit more about these roots and influences.
The biggest factor that led us to create Evolutis was precisely the excellence in quality that the Orientals put in their creations and in the look in general. We believe that the game industry deserves to have 2D games with this same quality. Regarding cyberpunk, it wouldn’t be a matter of being a fan, but something inevitable and that fits perfectly in the world of Evolutis. We are walking, or even living, in some places in the world where Brazil and France are great examples. Of course Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Blade Runner, Neuronancer, Snatcher, among others, and even Makoto Shinkai, are very strong inspirations for Evolutis.
What are the greatest initial difficulties in the production of Evolutis?
I wouldn’t say as a difficulty, but I believe that any project requires a lot of planning and organization.
Can you tell anything about the game? Be it history or some mechanics.
We always try to create a relationship between the player and the game, we want you to connect with each character and the story. Evolutis has three main (playable) characters: a CEO of a software company, a lone fighter and a drug addict. Everyone is facing the worst moment of their lives and their paths will cross, where in the blink of an eye everything can change.
When will it be possible to try it?
The launch is scheduled for the second half of 2020 🙂
Has the game ever been to an event? If so, how was the public reaction?
Yes, we presented Evolutis at BGS 2016 and we had a very positive response from the public, better than we expected!
Any idea when the game could be released? What about the planned platforms?
We intend to launch in the second half of 2020, as for the platforms we intend to launch on the PC (Steam, GOG), Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo Switch.
Can you talk a little bit about the current situation of the indie videogames in Brazil?
I believe the indie market in Brazil has grown since we have a lot of good Brazilian games making success out there!
